Plain-English summary
Greenflagged is for people 18+ who want to check someone before a date. You can't use it to make hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decisions, that's the law. Reports auto-delete after 30 days. We do our best to be accurate, but public records can be wrong, so use our reports as a starting point, not a verdict. If something goes sideways, our liability is limited to what you paid us.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Greenflagged. By creating an account or running a check, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Your agreement with us
"Greenflagged," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Greenflagged service, an individual proprietor based in the United States. "You" and "your" refer to the person who registers an account or uses the service. For business inquiries, contact us at getgreenflagged@gmail.com.
These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle data. Read it.
Eligibility
To use Greenflagged you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be a resident of the United States. (We may expand to other jurisdictions later, with separate terms for each.)
- Not be located in any jurisdiction where our service is prohibited.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
If you create an account on behalf of a business or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Your account
You are responsible for the security of your account. That includes:
- Keeping your password confidential.
- Notifying us promptly at getgreenflagged@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- All activity that happens under your account, even if someone else does it.
You may not share your account, transfer it to anyone else, or use someone else's account without permission.
Acceptable use
By using Greenflagged, you agree NOT to:
- Use the service for any FCRA-regulated decision. See The FCRA boundary below.
- Run checks on minors. Greenflagged is for adults checking other adults.
- Use the service to stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate any person.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our database, code, or report content.
- Resell, redistribute, or republish our reports in any form, including derivative works.
- Submit false or misleading information, including using a fake identity to create an account.
- Attempt to circumvent the 30-day report retention by storing reports outside the service for purposes that violate these Terms.
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable law, including local, state, federal, or international law.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if we believe you have violated this section.
The FCRA boundary
Greenflagged is not a consumer reporting agency under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.). Our reports are NOT consumer reports for FCRA purposes. By using the service, you agree that you will NOT use any Greenflagged report for:
- Employment decisions (hiring, promotion, retention, reassignment, termination).
- Housing decisions (whether to rent, lease, or sell to someone).
- Credit decisions (whether to extend credit, set credit terms, or collect on debt).
- Insurance underwriting or claim decisions.
- Eligibility for any government license or benefit.
- Any other purpose that requires a consumer report under the FCRA or any state-level analog.
If you need a report for any of these purposes, you must use a service that is a legitimate consumer reporting agency. Greenflagged is not that.
We reserve the right to terminate the account of any user we believe is using the service for an FCRA-regulated decision, and to cooperate with regulators investigating misuse.
Pricing & payment
Greenflagged is paid software. Current pricing is shown on our Pricing page and may change. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay, in U.S. dollars.
- First check ($1): a one-time introductory price for new accounts. Charged on completion of your first check.
- Single check ($4.99): charged per check, on completion. No subscription.
- Monthly ($24.99/month): 20 checks per month, billed monthly until cancelled.
- Yearly ($199/year): 240 checks per year, billed annually until cancelled.
Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your payment card data.
Refunds
- If we can't make a confident match, you receive an automatic refund. We don't charge for null results.
- If we find a clean check (a "green flag"), that is the result you paid for. No refunds for green flags.
- For monthly or yearly subscriptions, we offer prorated refunds for unused time on the yearly plan if you cancel mid-year. Monthly subscriptions are not prorated; you keep access until the end of the current billing period.
- Disputed charges: if you believe you were charged in error, email getgreenflagged@gmail.com within 60 days of the charge. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.
Data retention
Reports auto-delete 30 days after the check completes. After 30 days, the report is gone. We can't recover it, including for you. If you need a record of a report past 30 days, export it from your account before it expires.

Disclaimers
Greenflagged provides reports based on public records and public profiles. Public records can contain errors, including mismatched identities, expunged records that have not yet been removed, and outdated information. Public profiles can be impersonated. We do our best to surface accurate, well-attributed information, but:
- Reports are provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- A green flag is not a guarantee. It means we did not find anything alarming in the public record we checked. It does not guarantee that the person is safe, honest, or trustworthy.
- An amber flag is not a verdict. It means we found something worth a closer look. It does not mean the person is dangerous or that any specific public record is current and accurate.
- You are responsible for how you act on a report. A Greenflagged report is one input. Use it as a starting point, not a substitute for your own judgment, conversations, or further verification.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100).
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Greenflagged and its operators, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of:
- Your use of the service in violation of these Terms.
- Your use of any report for an FCRA-regulated decision (see The FCRA boundary).
- Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
- Any content you submit to the service (including search inputs about other people).
Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings. We will delete your account and all associated data within 24 hours of your request.
We may terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms or if your use of the service creates legal, security, or reputational risk for us. If we terminate without cause, we will refund any prepaid amounts for service you did not receive.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, Indemnification, Governing law, Dispute resolution) survive termination.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Dispute resolution
Informal resolution first. Before filing any formal claim, you and Greenflagged agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days, by emailing getgreenflagged@gmail.com with a clear description of the issue. Most everyday concerns are resolved within 5 business days at this step.
Venue. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, any formal claim must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas. Both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of those courts and waive any objection to that venue.
Waiver of jury trial. To the extent permitted by law, you and Greenflagged each waive any right to a trial by jury for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service.
No class actions. Any claim must be brought individually. You and Greenflagged each waive the right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative action.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as Greenflagged evolves. When we do:
- We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- For material changes, we will email all active users at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
- We will maintain a public changelog of past versions linked from the footer.
Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the service before the change takes effect.
